My hand is on fire.
At 3 in the morning, I'm in so much pain, I can't sleep. Apparently tendons and a bundle of nerves, running the length of my right hand from the wrist to the middle and ring fingers, would like to kill me.
I've taken naproxen, acetaminophen, and ibuprofen. Maybe I can kill my hand.
Yesterday I whacked down and chopped up two shrubs. Seems like a modest amount of work. But those fingers on my right hand have been acting wonky for a week, since I stabbed myself there with a rose thorn.
Slow Death by Rose Thorn.
It's surprising how loudly pain screams in the brain. I'm remembering what I mentioned in my post the other day, about pain receptors and the fact that hands are the most sensitive parts of the body.
I wear my grandmother's wedding band on my right hand. I've worn it for 27 years. I can't budge it over my knuckle, and now, when it's impossible, I'm obsessed with removing it. Can I call the fire department?
You are safe

Ow. Keeping you awake and major pain. I feel for you. Rose thorns can be vicious. Do you have a good set of work gloves? Hope you got some sleep and the pain decreased enough so you get good rest. Hugs.
Thanks for stopping by my place! Have you tried soaking your hand in Epsom salts? (Disclaimer - I am not a doctor nor do I play one on TV.)
Time for a Carpal Tunnel test and a hand specialist kiddo. Been there done that.
Pain, ofcourse is terrible. I remember when I had a muscle tear in my knee and the excruciating pain when you have to take a step. each step is a pain
You could call the Fire Department but I don't think they can put your hand out. I somehow am drawn to the idea of death by rose thorn...hmmm...interesting.
I am sorry you are feeling this pain though, I understand how it feels and how badly the hand can hurt. I will send you some warm healing energy.
Dear one I am sorry for your pain. Maybe you should have it checked out. Obviously something is going on.
Oh, I feel sorry for you! Pain is such a hassle, drains you from energy. I hope you feel better soon!
I hope you're doing better by now. That some of the medications finally kicked in and helped. I think seeing a doctor is in order though.
But again you amaze me. In the midst of your pain you still manage to pull out "death by rose thorn"...you're amazing. :)
Wishing you well.
Hang in there. Seems like this is long time for you to be in that much pain. Might want to get it looked at if it doesn't clear up soon.
Go to a jeweler. He got mine off.
I hope your hand is better soon. I don't know if you're the same but for some reason pain always seems worse at night.
I'm sorry about the wonky fingers (I love learning new words!). I would put a quote here from Shakespeare about roses and thorns but you might not find it funny now. I'll save it for when you feel better. ::hugs::

Chris, I hope that it gets better. Sounds really bad to me. Hope that you see a hand doctor soon. I was bit by a spider a few years ago and it was terrible.
I've been told several times by my jeweler (after I've forced a ring on that was too small) to use Windex to remove it. I have many times and it works. Give it a try. If it begins to cut off the blood flow the only answer is to cut it off and I'm sure you don't want that.
As a writer, I wouldn't be surprised if you weren't suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. I have had bouts of it, and a wrist splint helps. You might need to check it out.
Hope it gets better, Chris.
I cannot read the comments, but honey, why didn't you call me? I am home, puncture wounds do not flush and stay infected, email and let me know, cuz I did that to my thumb, my son did it to his foot, and there are only certain antibiotics that work. you need to ask for help sometimes.
Anytime I hurt muself anywhere I think it's the worst pain I ever had!
