Flash 55, thanks to G-Man

Spring Has Sprung

Winter cracked
and it broke wide open

out sprang a nectarine tree
in a hot pink tutu

it did a little pirouette
pink petals shivered

then out sprang a plum tree
in a white bridal gown

it did a little shimmy
a snowfall of white petals

drifted down on
the breathless congregation

This creativity thing is really hard for me. You make it look so easy! The challenge is what spurs me to play each week. Excellent first 55 my dear!

I think it's wonderful, no matter what season. I can feel its spring in my heart!

I had to check your information to see if you were from Down Under. Only California would have Spring in September. Love twist in your 55and the photography.

I bet you had that stashed someplace. A poetic 55, as I would expect. Don't you love Springsteen? jeNN

Here is my true confession:
There it was, 9 a.m. my time, and only a few skinny moments left before I had to go to (sigh) work. It was Flash 55 Friday. In a flash, the urge to participate overcame me! I sat for one of those skinny moments, staring at the sheaf of poems I'm reading on Sunday as the local featured poet. "Spring Has Sprung" lay on top. I counted the words. I added an "it" and flashed off to the blogosphere. It was the quickest way to play the game before I went to (sigh) work. There, I confess. That's why my Flash is not on Fall. Next time, I will be Fresh!

Spring reminders are always welcome even when it's snowing. So a poem like this, so well written, just before leaving for work deserves first prize.
Well done Chris and thanks for coming by.
Nice weekend! :)

Thanks--winter won't be coming here until December. I like the idea of being under a shower of petals.

This portrayed a lovely image of dancing trees!

Thanks for the compliment you left on my poetry blog.In answer to your question-
I added a link list to my sidebar from the gadget list and then add the browser link for each poem to it, that way it creates a link to previous poems I have added. I hope this helps.
