I’m at War!

You haven’t heard from me this week because I am embroiled in a ferocious battle. The war I wage is against an innocuous foe. Who would have thought that PAPER could be so vicious? The army is endless! It multiplies! One skirmish is won, and five more await. Here is the horror, in 55 bloody words.
~~~
Oh so many bills to pay!
The pile of poems to rewrite!
Insurance snafus to be set aright!
Crap from the tax assessor!
From the attorney, more spews from the sewer!
The hospital kidnapped my mother ~ that's a mountain of manure!
Oh bookkeeping failures!
The annual taxes await!
Assaults by paper do not abate!
~~~
This is a Friday Flash 55. Go see the G-man for more fun and games. And thanks to the Monkey Man for his load of manure.

I'm trembling! Such a fierce battle ahead! I'm sending you a box of paper clips and rubber bands for ammunition! If that doesn't work, we'll have to send in the big guns: The Paper Shredder! Good luck ;)- G

Oh, Chris, painful laments but you managed them in 55 words. Good for you.

I'll be SLO bound on Tue, Feb 2nd -any chance of our doing lunch that day or, perhaps, I could stop off Sat, Feb 5, on my way back to Daly City.

My 55 is at:

Since you gave me a great idea for alliteration to improve my 55...how about this for your second graph:

"And out of the attorney more from the sewer
The hospital kidnapped my mother - that's a mountain of manure"

See...I even got in some of your beloved alliteration.

I like "assaults by paper". And, yes, what a load of crap it would be if the hospital kidnapped my madre. Yeah, taxes need to be done. Thanks for the reminder.

Oh, no! I must be at war too and I didn't even know it. Yikes! It can all be overwhelming - especially at this time of year. :)

Chris - As you know by now, I am full of it. So I am happy to spread the manure around the best I can. *smiles & winks*

Your 55 is really cool, and not only that, it resonates. I hope the paper chase abates soon.

Nice. My office used to look like that. I am glad that I cleaned out about six file cabinets of paper before I left--all into the recycling bins.

Yes, and there is still my basement to attend to. My therapist said I am stalled. I hope something gives me a push this weekend!
