Redemption

Redemption

The morning after the great storm
as broken branches litter the battlefield of lawn

a titmouse finds the birdbath
brimming with stormwater

and all sorrows cease
as it bathes.

I love the hint of Serenity, despite the Storm. Beautiful

The calm AFTER the storm. I like calm and I like this. Glad no cat was involved.

This is fabulous,Chris!
We've had stormy weather here lately and last night I slept with the window open to listen to the waves of wind through the trees as it sounds like the pounding of the ocean...storms are indeed cleansing. This morning there are broken branches on the ground..below beautiful blue skies:)

We need to find it inside of every storm, don't we.

Simply wonderful.

Did you have a storm last night? Or were you referring to the path of toys and stuff left behind from a 3 year old? LOL Very lovely poem and I like the pic as well :o)

Your words fill my heart--your photography fills my eyes. That is the greatest compliment I can give.

Such a simple, yet enduring image. The delicacy of the titmouse and the bathing. I have that view outside my kitchen window and it never ceases to hold my attention.

My Haiku #18 on Kigo of the Kat features the birdbath, if you'd like to read it.
